I contacted Miller Motorsports Park offiicials when the first rumors of the May 29 - June 1 2008 return of World Superbike were heard. I have signed a contract with them for a suite, and am selling seats now.

These are luxury seats, tickets and passes including free food and drink, parking, and paddock acceess all 4 days (that's right FOUR days, Thursday through Sunday) of action for the World Superbike/AMA Race weekend at Miller Motorsports Park. Great seats with a great view. Do it in style!

Where else can you see Troy Bayliss, Noriyuki Haga, Ben Spies, Mat Mladin, Max Biaggi, and Roger and Tommy Hayden all on the same weekend?

This is going to be an amazing show - 4 full days of action, Thursday through Sunday, with BOTH superbike races from BOTH series.

Here is the tentative list of events:

Thursday:

AMA Superstock practice
AMA Supersport Practice
AMA Superbike Practice
AMA Formula Xtreme Practice & Qualifying

Friday:

AMA Superstock practice & Qualifying
AMA Supersport Practice
AMA Superbike Practice
World Superbike Practice
AMA Formula Xtreme Warm-up

Saturday:

AMA Superstock Warm-up & race
AMA Supersport Qualifying
AMA Formula Xtreme Race

AMA Superbike Qualifying & Race 1
World Superbike Practice & Superpole

Sunday:

AMA Supersport Warm-up and Race
AMA Superbike Warm-up & Race 2
World Superbike Warm-up, Race 1 and Race 2

Our “Grand Prix” suite is an open-air canopied suite located on the second floor patio of the Grand Prix Garage and race administration building in the paddock. It overlooks the East pit lane and start/finish line and the paddock to the North. Our suite offers nearly 100% sight lines of the entire track.

The suite comes with up to 55 passes but I am limiting it to 40 to avoid overcrowding. It comes with its own television monitor which provides access to race broadcast television feeds, timing and scoring information and several regular TV channels, including Speed TV. It also receives the race public address system.

The suite will be available all 4 days, Thursday through Sunday, with free breakfast and lunch, and free soda and water all 4 days. Cash bar. These are the best seats in the house at Miller, short of getting in the scoring tower. They will not be sold individually by the track, and I do not believe anything like it will be available for sale elsewhere.

This is going to be an awesome LONG weekend of racing action. Miller is just outside of Salt Lake City, easy to fly to. And those who might be interested in riding will find Springtime in that part of the country to be crammed full of spectacular riding opportunities, not to mention a wealth of other recreational goodies. In WSB we will watch Biaggi & Bayliss on Ducatis, Haga and Corser on Yamahas, Checa on a Honda – it should be an exciting show! And in the AMA we will watch Mladin and Spies go at it again, and see if Honda and Yamaha have found something to help Hayden brothers and the Bostrom brothers.

In the meantime, you can click on the "Laguna Seca" link to the right, to see how the suite is run there. Though there will be several differences, there will be meaningful similarities as well.

If looking for help with your travel and lodging, let me recommend Patty Roberts-Hards at Reid Travel Associates in Stockton CA. Why her? Because she is KRJR and Kurtis Roberts' mom, and is a very experienced specialist in travel arrangements for motorcycle race fans. She is familiar with all the race venue cities, and understands us. Plus she's a nice lady. You can reach her at pattyh@vacation.com, Phone 209-952-1295 or 800-776-0083.

Most of your lodging options are likely to be in Salt Lake City proper. The track, in Tooele, is about about 35 minutes outside of Salt Lake City. I believe the lodging in Tooele is sold out, but if it is important to you to be close in, check on it anyway.

If you can fit in some riding, Utah Sport Bike Rental may be able to help you out. Book EARLY!

The nearby Rockies offer some spectacular riding, very beautiful that time of year.
